KÖZTI has become regular member of the Hungary Green Building Council (HuGBC). This professional organization advocates the realization of sustainable built environment in Hungary. Sustainability had always been an important aspect of the design process at KÖZTI and we moved on in the past few years. We have established the necessary personal, technical and educational conditions as well.
The HuGBC, an organiztion working for environment-friendly building, has become the most dynamically developing community in the building industry by now. It advocates environmentally conscious architectural design, construction and building management in Hungary, creating a unique green community with its members. This is the organization KÖZTI joined in February.
HuGBC is also an active member of the international World Green Building Council and maintains partnership relations with several national and international professional organizations, promoting the efficient realization of the objectives of sustainability.
Our membership in HuGBC is a new milestone in a process that has been going on for many years. As a regular member of an internationally recognized organization, we want to take an active part in projects supporting sustainable architectural design. We hope, that the professional contribution of our 75 year old company to the work of HuGBC will prove to be valuable and result in mutual benefits for all of us. – said Tima Zoltán, design director of KÖZTI.
It is the task of the Council to promote the advancement of environmentally conscious technologies by organizing programs in the fields of education, training, research and development. HuGBC greatly relys on the activity of its members, supporting transformation towards sustainability with joint and coordinated thinking, exchange of knowledge and experience, sharing of good practices; by acting together to change the attitude of the building industry.
