Kaplony studied at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Architecture and graduated in 2007.
He joined KÖZTI in 2007 and he has been working at Zoltán Tima’s studio since then. After his junior architect period, he spent some time working at a minor Austrian practice. He got his senior architect appointment in 2021, he is project lead architect from 2021.
Kaplony has worked on many important projects as an associate of Zoltán Tima and as a project architect, including the Liszt Ferenc International Airport SkyCourt and T2B Pier, the Parliament Visitor Centre and Museum, the Diagnostic Centre of the Erzsébet Teaching Hospital in Sopron, the Árpád Street parking building in Sopron, the Budapart BRD residential building and the Budapart BOG hotel and office building.
