KÖZTI’s entry won third prize in the international architectural design competition for the new exhibition building of the Hungarian Natural History Museum in Debrecen. Well known Hungarian and international practices participated in the competition and 14 designs were submitted.
The Balatonfüred Congress Center, the only project built outside the capital, won the construction industry award in the cultural public building category. As a sign of recognition, a bronze plaque with the names of the creative participants was placed at the entrance of the center. Our company was represented at the ceremony by Gábor Smaraglay, managing director of KÖZTI, and senior architects István Boda and Zoltán Skrabák.
As part of the new campus of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, reconstruction of the Károlyi Palace has started. The building will accomodate the university library which will be open for all visitors. A sensational event was the discovery of some murals by Lotz Károly, which had been presumed perished by the preliminary research. Tima Zoltán, design director of KÖZTI and Kelemen Bálint project architect introduced the details of the reconstruction to hely.hu.
The new-generation building complex of the Dürer Park project is located in Ajtósi Dürer Street, in the immediate vicinity of the Városliget and the Zugló villa district. From the very beginning of the project, the design concept has been based on preserving the historical values of the area and meeting modern needs. While designing the residential buildings, collaboration between the Milanese Lissoni Casal Ribeiro design office and KÖZTI has resulted in solutions of international standard, yet fitting into the local context.
The comprehensive renovation and transformation of the Budapest Körszálló will begin in the summer of 2025. It has been announced at the conference about the utilization of soc-modern buildings, that the aim of the project is to give the iconic building a new function, to transform it into a modern residential building, while preserving its architectural values. The Budapest Körszálló is of particular importance to KÖZTI, as the original designs for the building were also made here in the 1960s.
100 éve született Pintér Béla kétszeres Ybl-díjas építész, a KÖZTI egykori tervezője. Gazdag hagyatéka 2022 óta a MÉM MDK gyűjteményében kutatható. Az egykori KÖZTI-s építész legismertebb és legmegosztóbb terve a budai Hilton szálló volt, amelynek megépülését emlékezetes műemlékvita is kísérte. Ismert polihisztor tervezőnkre emlékezünk.
Mi inspirálja azokat az építészeket, akiknek az épületei emberek tízezreinek mindennapjait formálják? A Skardelli Györgyről készült portré-dokumentumfilm többek között erre a kérdésre keresi a választ. Az Arénák építésze című film a 44. Magyar Filmszemlén is látható volt a Corvin Moziban.
A DVTK-Újpest bajnoki nyitányán Pottyondy Péter végezte el a mérkőzés kezdőrúgását. A KÖZTI egykori stúdióvezetője, az Aréna tervezője a 70. születésnapját ünnepelte, és így köszöntötték fel a diósgyőriek. Isten éltessen sokáig, Péter!
